Christele Jacquemin
The brand was born from the perfumer’s lifelong desire to explore the world. After studying languages, Christelle Jaquemin entered the fragrance industry in Murcia in 2000, traveling to more than 50 countries and discovering a deep connection between scent and place.

She often struggled to find images that reflected the emotions certain scents evoked. It led to formal photography studies and, eventually, the opening of a photo studio in 2009. Balancing both crafts proved unsustainable, and the studio closed when the perfumer returned full-time to perfumery—only to resign later, longing for creative freedom.
A new path emerged: perfume-creation training in Paris, followed by months of photographic travel across Asia. There, the idea took shape - artisanal perfumes inspired by travel photography.
In 2019, the brand launched during an exhibition in Avignon, uniting fragrance and image. Today, every perfume is handmade in the perfumer’s workshop, each one capturing a real journey and a moment in time.

UNDERWORLD is inspired by photographs taken during the perfumer’s transition from a long life in Murcia to a new chapter between Barcelona and Paris. This time was filled with intertwined fears and hopes.
