PAPILLON ROUGE: the indie, clean-leaning house
Centuries later, Virginie Choné grows up in her grandfather’s aromatic garden in the South of France. After joining Guerlain as Marketing Director, she launched Papillon Rouge, an indie brand focused on eco-conscious formulas, long-lasting scents, minimal synthetics, and modern takes on historical ingredients. She creates each fragrance with Jean Sauvage, her in-house “perfumer-architect.”

During the pandemic, both brands merged into BINET-PAPILLON. New brand revives traditional French haute perfumery with a clean, ethical edge:
